I apologise in advance as you’ll probably have that song in your head for at least the rest of the day now! Hi there, today I’m sharing this card that I made for my niece and nephew to give to my Dad for Father’s Day. The ‘Ghostbuster’s’ reference is a little family joke regarding my Dad’s new-found appreciation for that catchy tune – which would you believe – is nearly 32 years old!!! That means that I was the same age as my daughter is now when that came out – eek! He plays it so loud – on purpose – in his car when he comes round to our house, mainly I think to try and embarrass me in front of my neighbours! Anyway I thought this digi from Sassy Cheryl’s Stamps would be ideal for him along with the sentiment that I made up on the computer! This cute little image is called Don’t Stop the Music! I teamed it up with papers from Anna Griffin – Fifi and Fido collection, black card stock, Spectrum Noirs and Spellbinders Circle and Banner dies. My sister gave him a Ghostbusters t-shirt as a little jokey gift too, unaware when she bought it that I had included the theme on his card – spooky……!!!
That’s all from me for today. Thanks for stopping by, and just remember “if there’s somethin’ strange, in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!” Oh no…. it’s finally got to me 🙂
Hello there! Time is flying now to the end of the school term and it’s a very busy time at school! My daughter will be going to secondary school this year so there could be tears on the last day of term – and they’ll probably be mine! She has been at her present school for 9 years (including pre-school), so it’s going to be strange not taking and collecting her from there anymore. I still have my son there for another 2 years though, so I dread to think what I’ll be like when it’s my baby’s leaving year!
Anyhow, getting back to these 2 cards that I have for you today 🙂 The one above was made for my Mum and Dad to give to Finley for his birthday in May. For both cards, I have used this digi from Sassy Cheryl’s Stamps called Gilbert’s MARVELous Adventure. I also used a Kaisercraft Rectangle Die, Spellbinders Star and tag dies, papers by Lawn Fawn – polka in the Meadow and Polka in the Dark, Bazzill orange cardstock, ribbon and Spectrum Noirs to colour.
The card below was made for my sister’s children to give to another of their cousins. Here I have used patterned paper by Deco Time, the same rectangle and tag dies as above, ribbon and Papermania Dew Drops. For both cards the sentiments were made on the computer.
That’s all from me for today. Thanks for popping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week 🙂
Take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend and that you have had a good start to the new week! In the UK we are enjoying a long weekend as it’s our Whitsun Bank Holiday and the kids will be off school for the week – lucky things!
Today I’m sharing this card that I made for my son’s 9th birthday last week and I have used this fab digi from Sassy Cheryl’s Stamps called The Game is in the Player – rather apt for my little football star! 🙂 It doesn’t seem 5 minutes ago since he was born! I went into hospital just after I’d put my then 2 year old daughter to bed- gave birth and was back home before she woke up the next morning to find her little baby brother waiting for her! It was pretty speedy work the second time around – completely different from the first!
I also used the following: Spellbinders Banner Die, Spectrum Noirs, Promarkers, papers from ‘Awesome Boy’ – Recollections, chipboard number, some epoxy stickers and the chevron dies are by My Favorite Things.
That’s all from me for today so thanks for stopping by 🙂 Finley had a great birthday and I’ll be back on Thursday with the card that I made for him from his big sis! Take care and have a great week – Karen 🙂
