Hi, I hope you’re having a good week so far? Today I have a card that I made for my parents’ friend who had a fall which resulted in a bone in her leg pierce through her skin – ouch! At the time I had just coloured these images from MFT Sweet Succulents set and was debating what card to make with them. I remembered that one of the sentiment stamps in the set was ‘ouch!’ so I thought I would use them to make a ‘get well soon’ card for this poor lady.
Other supplies used: ‘Get Well Soon’ stamp from Clearly Besotted – ‘Message Me’, Spectrum Noirs, ‘Me to You’ Enamel Dots a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad and the MISTI. Also the following Lawn Fawn products -Stripy Backdrop die, Stitched Circle Die, Everyday Sentiments Banner Die, ‘Let’s Polka in the Dark’ and ‘Perfectly Plaid’ papers.
That’s all from me for today. I hope you have a great weekend, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! I’m popping in today with another card made using the Penguins in Paradise stamp set from My Favorite Things. This is similar to the one I made before except this time I have used the Peekaboo Wonky Window die from My Favorite Things for the aperture.
Other supplies used: Kaisercraft Banner Die, L’il Inker Large Sun Die, Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Dies, Lawn Fawn ‘Perfectly Plaid’ paper, blue and yellow cardstock from stash and Spectrum Noirs.
This card is for my friends son – hope he likes penguins!
Thanks for stopping by, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there, how’s your summer going? Now school is out I will be posting once a week so here is a little card that I have made using the Sweet Succulents stamp set from My Favorite Things. When ‘succulents’ stamps first start appearing I did wonder why would you want to make a card with these images! However, the more cards I have seen – especially one’s that have been water-coloured – the more it made me kind of want a set for myself! I chose this set because the pots are all separate images so you can mix the plants with whatever pot that you want. You can get the dies to match but I just did some fussy cutting here. I have coloured these images with Spectrum Aqua Markers. The sentiment stamp is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps (no longer trading) and for the pop-up element inside the card I have used the Mama Elephant Pop-up Creative Cuts dies.
The card base was made with Lawn Fawn cardstock and the inside was paper from my stash. The banner die is from Lawn Fawn too.
That’s all from me for this week! Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hello! I’m back today with a birthday card that I made for my nephew using Penguins in Paradise from My Favorite Things. How cute are these little guys?! There are 4 penguin characters in this set with lots of sentiments and additional images like the palm trees and a rather tropical looking cocktail glass! I haven’t got the dies to go with this set but they were pretty easy to cut out – even for me!
Other supplies that I used were: Black, blue and orange card stock, Lawn Fawn – Let’s Polka in the Meadow papers, Spellbinders Circle and Banner Dies, Kaisercraft Banner Die, L’il Inker Sun Die, Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Edgers and Spectrum Noirs.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend, take care – Karen 🙂
