Hello! I’m back today with another card made using the fab ‘Fintastic Friends’ stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the bokeh background using ‘Let’s Bokeh’, again by Lawn Fawn, and then didn’t know what to do with it! I thought the circles looked like bubbles and then that thought turned to fish and voila! This is the outcome!
Here’s what else I used: The following products from Lawn Fawn – Stitched Circle Die, Everyday Sentiment Banner Die, papers from ‘Beachside’. Memento inks in Summer Sky, Bahama Blue and Tuxedo Black. Versa Magic in Cloud White and Encore! Ultimate Metallic in Gold. MFT Die-namics – Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die. I think the fish paper clip was from The Range and black cardstock from my stash. Spectrum Noirs to colour.
Well that’s all from me for this week – another week closer to Christmas! I scheduled this post last week so now I will be enjoying a week away with the family as it’s half term. Hope you have a fun weekend whatever you’re doing, take care and thanks so much for stopping by today 🙂
Hello there! I hope you’re well and having a good week so far 🙂 Today I have some Christmas cards to share that I have made using this sweet doggy stamp from Avery Elle called – not surprisingly – ‘Happy Howl-idays’! These were really quick to make as I basically kept the design pretty much the same for most of them, changed the patterned papers around and coloured this little fella’s scarf accordingly to match!
I also used: Papers by Lawn Fawn – Perfectly Plaid Christmas, Let’s Bokeh in the Snow and Perfectly Plaid. Die-namics Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square die, Peekaboo Wonky Window die and lawn Fawn’s Stitched Circle die and Cross Stitched Rectangle die. Spectrum Noirs, Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad and various twine were also used.
Thanks for popping by today, I’ll be back next week. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! For the foreseeable future I will be posting once a week so here’s what I have for you this week! Halloween, not so big in the UK as it is in The States but I think it is getting bigger every year – there certainly seems to be more in the shops every year! My kids get dressed up and I’ll take them trick or treating to family but that’s about it for us! We live on a lane which is the last street in our village before a short walk to the next village. I think this is the reason not many people venture round our way for trick or treating, so we end up being left with loads of candy (husband always insists on buying lots – just in case we have a mass invasion of little ghosties and witches knowing full well we hardly have any!) My family always give my kids way too much – in fact we still have some left from last year – I bet that’s yummy! (even though it’s still in date!) Anyways, getting back to my little treat bags that I have made. I love making these, I could make them all day long. This would be silly, however, as I have just said, we don’t get many trick or treaters so who would I give them to?!! I have made a few more since I took these photo’s so I will be giving these out to my kids and nephew. No doubt they’ll be getting some bigger bags of the sweet stuff too to go with these!
Supplies – Lawn Fawn: Trick or Treat stamps and dies, Holiday Party Animal stamps and dies, Party Animal stamps and dies, Spooky Hemp Cord, Perfectly Plaid Fall papers, Let’s Polka in the Dark papers, Scalloped Treat Box Die, Stitched Circle die and Forest Border die. Paper Smooches Deco Bag die, Reverse Confetti Tagged Tote die, Spellbinders circle die, black cardstock and Versa Magic Cloud White ink pad. I also used the ‘Happy Halloween’ stamp from Clearly Besotted’s ‘Out of this World’ set and the Sophisticated Script alphabet set from Concord & 9th. Spectrum Noirs to colour and Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. Yes, it’s a long list!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend, take care – Karen 🙂
Hello! I’m back today with a couple of Christmas cards that I have made using lawn Fawn’s ‘Let’s Bokeh’ stamp set. I got the inspiration for these cards from watching a You Tube video by Nicole Spohr. Actually, these could be for any celebration – if you omit the ‘to you and yours’ stamp! These were pretty quick to make – great for batch making- and it’s a couple of more cards for my Christmas stash! The thing is at the moment I keep getting distracted from the larger family cards I should be making as I’m really enjoying making smaller cards at the moment. Never mind, I’m sure I’ll get them all done…eventually!
Supplies used: The following Memento inkpads – Tuxedo Black, New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, Cottage Ivy and Lady Bug. Also, Tsukineko – Encore! Ultimate Gold Metallic Ink. Lawn Fawn ‘Cheers’ die and green cardstock. My MISTI.
Thanks for visiting today. Have a great week, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi, I hope you’re having a good week so far? Today I have a card that I made for my parents’ friend who had a fall which resulted in a bone in her leg pierce through her skin – ouch! At the time I had just coloured these images from MFT Sweet Succulents set and was debating what card to make with them. I remembered that one of the sentiment stamps in the set was ‘ouch!’ so I thought I would use them to make a ‘get well soon’ card for this poor lady.
Other supplies used: ‘Get Well Soon’ stamp from Clearly Besotted – ‘Message Me’, Spectrum Noirs, ‘Me to You’ Enamel Dots a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad and the MISTI. Also the following Lawn Fawn products -Stripy Backdrop die, Stitched Circle Die, Everyday Sentiments Banner Die, ‘Let’s Polka in the Dark’ and ‘Perfectly Plaid’ papers.
That’s all from me for today. I hope you have a great weekend, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! Thanks for joining me today as I share these three cards that I made using the Peek-a-boo Wonky Window Die-namic die. These cards were really quick to make. I used double-sided gingham cardstock for the base card, cut out the aperture and popped a cute little critter inside – easy peasy!
For this card I used the Penguin’s in Paradise stamp set from MFT and the Lawn Fawn ‘Cheers’ die.
Here, I have used the ‘Seal-abrate stamp and die set from Avery Elle.
And last but not least, here I have used lawn Fawn’s Year 4 stamp set.
As always I coloured these little guys up using my Spectrum Noirs. I also used a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad, the paper used for the die-cut ‘cheers’ was from a Lawn Fawn pad – I think it was either Let’s Bokeh in the Snow or Let’s Polka in the Dark!
Thanks for joining me today, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! Yesterday my children went back to school so now it’s time for me to get back into a more constructed routine – boo! Today I’m sharing this card that I made using Lawn Fawn’s Party Animal and Holiday Party Animal stamps and dies. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I LOVE Lawn Fawn! Their little critters are so cute! I coloured these little fellas using my Spectrum Noirs and used the following supplies:’Perfectly Plaid Paper’ – Lawn Fawn, MFT Die-namics – Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die, Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade twine, Big ‘n’ Spicy inkpad – Spice, a Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad and a white gel pen.
I made a mask and used a blending tool to create the circle in the middle as a backdrop to the characters and popped some foam pads on the back of them for dimension.
That’s it for today. Thanks for popping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and have a great weekend – Karen 🙂
Hello! Well, it’s the last week of the summer hols for us – boo! I think this has been the quickest year yet! The kids are just about ready, but before you know it it’ll be half-term again in October!
The card that I’m sharing today was one that I made a while ago. I was looking for something else and found this Smirk Decoupage Pad – For Her. This was bought in my early days of card-making so I thought I’d give it a bit of an airing! I don’t know if you can tell from the photo’s but parts of the flowers are glittered.
To make this I also used the following: Pink paper from stash, Lawn Fawn – let’s Polka in the Dark paper, Lawn Fawn Striped Backdrop Die and die-cut handbag sentiments from Craftwork Cards.
That’s all from me for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend – and if you’re in the UK – a lovely Bank Holiday!
Take care – Karen 🙂
Hello there, how was your weekend? Our Saturday was spent shopping for school uniform for my daughter – apparently blazers and stuff all need ordering asap for next term. Yikes – I hope she doesn’t have a massive growth spurt during the holidays! Friday was the last day of term and because Libby is leaving to go to secondary school it was quite an emotional day ( I mean I was quite emotional!). I know that she has lots of happy memories from her old school but now it’s time to make some new one’s at her new school 🙂 She spent a couple of days there before the end of term and loved it – I hope she always feel like that!
Right, getting back to today’s card! This has been made using Lawn Fawn’s Love you a Latte stamps and dies. I had only used the odd element here and there on other cards so thought it was about time to make a full-on card with this fab set! I love the cute little faces that you get here too! I just randomly stamped all over my card, coloured the cups in with Spectrum Noirs and then used the Die-namics Stitched Interactive Window Die to cut out the panel on the front. I die-cut 3 of the cups out and popped them under their own little window like so:-
The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I stamped that onto a banner of Neenah Desert Storm card using Lawn Fawn’s Everyday Sentiment Banner Die. I really like the window die – it just adds a little something to a really easy to make card.
That’s all for today. I really appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a great week. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hi! Tomorrow is the last day of term for my children so I thought that I would share a couple of the cards that I have made for one of their teachers and teaching assistants. As you can see, they’re the same design apart from the ‘Best Teacher’ banner on the first card!
Supplies used: Memento ink – Lady Bug, Cottage Ivy and Tuxedo Black. Lawn Fawn – Lets Polka in the Dark papers, Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die and Stripy Backdrop Die. Spellbinders Circle and Banner Die, Clearly Besotted Banner Die and all stamps Clearly Besotted. Kraft and white card.
Although I’m glad that the summer hols are here for the kids, this year there is a tinge of sadness as my daughter will leaving this school and will be going up to ‘big school’! As this is a scheduled post that I’m writing a week in advance I can say that tomorrow and Thursday will be spent at her new school. Everything is crossed that she likes it but I also know that it’s the start of another exciting chapter in her life.
That’s all from me for today, I hope you have a great weekend – Karen 🙂
