Monday soon comes around doesn’t it!! This means it’s time for another new sketch at From the Heart Stamps, and here it is!
This week I followed the sketch (although I did flip it round!) and I think I managed the twist – hearts, hearts and more hearts! This image is called Birdbrain Conversation Hearts – great for a valentine’s day card don’t you think?! The rules for our challenge are HERE, just remember to use one of our images and everyone who enters will win a $1 credit to the store and there will also be a random winner picked for a prize! Have a little look at what the design team have pulled out of the bag for you today for some inspiration on our BLOG and then get cracking! You have until Sunday evening to link up your creation – good luck!
This card will be for my husband so as a little something to go with it I made a little treat bag that will have some heart shaped chocs in. I can’t stop making these little bags – be prepared to see some on my blog in the near future!
I also used the following supplies: Papers and stickers by Pebbles – Yours Truly, Memory Box Stitched rectangle Die, Spellbinders Circle and Heart Dies, Reverse Confetti – Tagged Tote Die and Spectrum Noirs to colour.

The challenge rules are HERE but you get a $1 credit to spend in store just for taking part as long as you use a FTHS image! I aimed to use the twist element of this week’s sketch by using lots of white and adding colour with embellishments – I think I succeeded! This image is called Snowman Drummer and is one of Faith’s Project 100 Snowmen so is only $1 in store at the moment!
I also used Centura Pearl card, Kaisercraft Rectangle Die, Spellbinders Banner Die, X Cut Snowflake Embossing Folder, Buttons, Twine and Spectrum Noirs to colour.
It would be great to see your creations over at the blog – you have a week to link up. Thanks so much for dropping by today, enjoy the rest of your week. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hello, it’s Wednesday and that means it time for some midweek inspiration at From the Heart Stamps (doesn’t seem like 5 minutes that I said that last week!). Today I’m sharing this card that I have made for my brother who’s birthday is next month. This card is going to be from my niece and nephew for their uncle. When I started planning Rob’s cards they all involved food – he does love his food! But now I feel pretty bad because he’s since decided to go on a health kick and is now being really good about what he is eating!! In fact he’s lost quite a bit of weight already and he’s only a couple of weeks into it – hmmm, hope his cards don’t tip him over the edge and tempt him to return to his old ways!! Nah, I’m sure he’ll see the funny side – or at least I hope so!
This image is called Birthday Burger Birdbrain and is particularly good for masculine cards I think. I have also followed our weekly Sketch #126 to make this card. Rules about joining in with our I (heart) sketches with a tWiSt challenges can be found HERE.
I didn’t use the ‘twist’ this week and just stuck to the sketch. Why not join in with the challenge? Everyone who enters will receive a $1 credit to the store which you can save for an image or you could get one of the many $1 images in store right now – everyone’s a winner! All you need to do is use a From the Heart image and you’re good to go!
I have also used papers from Papermania – Mr Mister, Spellbinders Circle and Banner Dies, Kaisercraft Rectangle Die and Spectrum Noirs to colour.
That’s all from me for today. There’s is more fab inspiration from my talented team-mates over on the FTHS blog. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hello there crafty friends, I hope you had a great weekend. It’s back to normal round here as the children have gone back to school today after their week off. It’s an 8 week slog now until they finish for Christmas – I won’t mention that to them!!!
Over at From the Heart Stamps there is our new I (heart) sketches with a tWiSt challenge #124.Details can be found on the blog or HERE. Everyone who enters will each receive a $1 credit for the store so it’s a win-win! Remember Faith’s 100 Snowmen project – well they’re only $1 while the project is in progress so you can treat yourself straight away or save your credit to put towards something else in store 😉
My card today is made using this fun image called Birdbrain Winter Scarf which comes with 4 great sentiments. I have followed the sketch and included the tWiSt twice as I have used 2 sentiments on the front 🙂 I also used papers from Pebbles called ‘Front Porch’, Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die, Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle Die, WRMK Corner Chomper, Button, Twine and Spectrum Noirs to colour.
I really hope that you can join in with this challenge, we always love to see what you have created 🙂 That’s all from me for today, thanks for stopping by – Karen 🙂
Hi there! Hope you have had a good week so far, not long until another weekend!!! Today I’m sharing a card that I have made using this fabulous digital image called Cornucopia, which is actually The Stamp of the Month over at From the Heart Stamps. You still have time to take part in this challenge as it will run until the end of the month. The rules are all HERE. I have also used this weeks i (heart) card sketches with a tWiSt #122 . The twist this week was ‘totally CAS with paper strips’. Mmm, not sure I quite complied with the twist part as I did add a little button and one of my own die-cut sentiments! You can also still take part in this weeks challenge, the details are below.
There are 3 sentiments included with this image but I’m going to be giving this card to a neighbour who gave us some of his delicious home-grown tomatoes throughout the summer, so that’s why this is a ‘thank you’ card. I know there’s no tomatoes on here, but I’m sure he will appreciate the meaning behind the image! This also makes a wonderful Thanksgiving or Fall card too 🙂
I have also used papers from ‘Farmhouse’ by Crate Paper, Spectrum Noirs, button, twine and die-cut sentiment from Craftwork Cards.
That’s all from me for today, but remember we would love to see what you create at From the Heart Stamps with this lovely Stamp of the Month. Thanks for stopping by, take care – Karen 🙂
