Hello and a happy Thursday to you. Today I’m back as promised with another card that I have made using a kit from Hunkydory called Cute Kitties. This one is for my kids to give to their Granny for her birthday. I thought this kitty would be great for her as she’s always cleaning or washing and ironing! I don’t know if you can tell from this picture but the rectangle topper is actually decoupaged. I made up the greeting on the computer and used a Spellbinder’s Oval Die to cut it out with. The only other supplies that I have used are silver mirror card and foam pads.
That’s all from me for today. I hope that you have liked my feline and canine creations this week! Have a fantastic weekend, take care – Karen 🙂
Hello there! I hope life is treating you well and that you’re getting crafty when you can and I’d also like to wish our US friends a Very Happy 4th of July! I am sharing a couple of cards with you today that I have made using 2 new kits from Hunkydory called Precious Pooches and Cute Kitties. Although I have lots of kits I just couldn’t resist the fun characters in these sets! I think almost everyone I know has either a cat or a dog – sometimes both, so I know this will be a well used set in the future!
For the inside of this sweet anniversary card I used one of the inserts and some of the patterned papers that can be purchased separately from the kits and just popped on another of the toppers.
For the pooch card I printed out the greeting and used some of the patterned papers again down the right-hand side and popped on another topper. On both of these cards I cut away a couple of inches or so off the front of the card blank so that it would show off part of the decorated inside of the card.
The only other supplies that I used here that wasn’t in the kits was gold and silver mirror card, some self-adhesive gems, Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die and Spellbinders Round Dies.
That’s all for today, I’ll be back on Thursday with another card using the Cute Kitties set. Hope to see you then, take care and thanks for popping by today 🙂
Hi there, I hope you had a good weekend 🙂 Yesterday was Father’s Day with a difference in our family as it was also my nephew’s christening! I am little Harry’s Godmother now!!! I’m pleased to say everything went perfectly and we all had a lovely afternoon 🙂 All the ‘dads’ in the family had a great day too!
Today I’m sharing this card that I made for my sister to give to our dad (who has, incidentally, got a moustache!) I used a topper from one of Hunkydory’s Little Books called Charming Chaps and teamed it up with gold mirror card, black Adorable Scorable card and patterned papers and card from a Hunkydory range called Fan-tash-tique! I made the sentiment up on the computer and used Spellbinders dies to mount it on.
Well, that’s all from me for today. I’ll be back on Thursday with the card that I made for my husband from our kids for Father’s Day. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week 🙂
Take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! Monday’s soon come around don’t they! Today I’m sharing the birthday card that I made for my nephew Harry. I used a Hunkydory kit that I’ve had for a while but I thought it would be perfect for little Harry! I think you can just make out the glitter that is on the card and toppers here. I also made some little acetate wobblers for the backs of the spacemen so they had some movement.
All that I needed to add here was some silver mirror card and I also used Spellbinders Circle Dies to cut out the sentiment that I made on the computer. I’m pleased to say that Harry had a lovely birthday, those 2 years have flown by!
Thank you for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your week, take care – Karen 🙂
Hi there! I hope you’re having a good weekend 🙂 I have just popped in today with this card that I have made using a Hunkydory kit that I had in my stash. I can’t remember the name of this collection – I do try to keep collections together but all my Christmas ‘stuff’ has sort of merged together!!! This is going to be for my parents from my sister.
I also used Marianne Snowflake dies, Spellbinders Oval and foliage dies, and some glitter domed stickers from Papermania.
Hope you have a great week ahead, thanks for stopping by today. Take care – Karen 🙂
Hello crafty friends 🙂 I thought I would pop in today to share this card that I have made for my sister’s birthday next week. It was made with a Hunkydory kit called Shimmering Pearl and is definitely one, if not my favourite kit that they have produced. The colours are so vibrant and everything is printed on Centura Pearl cardstock so it’s got that lovely pearlescent look to it. I chose this canal boat image and thought it would look nice as a shaker card, so that’s what I did! I just needed to add some gems to the flowers and butterflies and used a Spellbinders oval die for the sentiment and it was done!
Thanks for stopping by today and also thanks to everyone who hopped along with us as part of the From the Heart October Blog Hop which ran from Friday to Monday. It was my first ever blog hop and it was wonderful to have so many people visit and leave such lovely comments – it is appreciated so much 🙂 That’s all from me for today so take care and enjoy the rest of your week, Karen 🙂
