English Rose – Clearly Besotted

pink-clearly-besotted

Hi there!  Today I am sharing this card made using the English Rose stamp set from Clearly Besotted. This is the first time that I have used vellum!  I really like the softness that vellum adds to a card so I thought it was about time to get some!   I used gold embossing powder for the greeting which is from Altenew’s Tulip set.  I also used some sequins, Memento inkpads in Angel Pink, Rose Bud and Rhubarb Stalk. The background paper is from MFT – Watercolor Wash, Brights.  And I used my MISTI 🙂

That’s all from me for this week.  Have a great weekend whatever you’re doing, take care – Karen 🙂

OUCH!

OUCH!

Hi, I hope you’re having a good week so far?  Today I have a card that I made for my parents’ friend who had a fall which resulted in a bone in her leg pierce through her skin – ouch!  At the time I had just coloured these images from MFT Sweet Succulents set and was debating what  card to make with them.  I remembered that one of the sentiment stamps in the set was ‘ouch!’ so I thought I would use them to make a  ‘get well soon’ card for this poor lady.

Also the following Lawn Fawn products -Stripy Backdrop die, Stitched Circle Die, Everyday Sentiments Banner Die, ‘Let’s Polka in the Dark’ and ‘Perfectly Plaid’ papers.

That’s all from me for today.  I hope you have a great weekend, take care – Karen 🙂

Clearly Besotted – English Rose

Clearly Besotted English Rose

Hello there!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far 🙂  I thought I would pop by with these cards that I have made using a new stamp and co-ordinating die set from Clearly Besotted called English Rose. It is a really pretty layering set as you can see and these are the first cards that I have made with them.

Clearly Besotted English Rose 3

On this card I used the following materials: Memento inkpads in the following colours – New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, Cottage Ivy, Summer Sky, Bahama Blue and Nautical Blue. Papers are by Lawn Fawn – Let’s Polka in the Meadow and My Favorite Things – Watercolor Wash Brights. Sentiment stamp and co-ordinating die from Clearly Besotted and MFT Die-namics Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die. I also used the co-ordinating English Rose dies here.

This was a really simple card. I did some masking to create this  little rose ensemble and used a greeting from another of Clearly Besotted’s new releases called Message Me which includes 33 stamps! I really like the script font that they have used for part of the greeting.  I also used the following materials: All the blue Memento inks listed above, patterned paper from Lawn Fawn – Beachside, the same MFT die as above and I also Dew Drops from Papermania on both cards.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’ll be back on Wednesday with some rather cute Christmas Alpaca’s!…..

Take care – Karen 🙂

‘Thank you Teacher’…

Best Teacher 2016

Hi!  Tomorrow is the last day of term for my children so I thought that I would share a couple of the cards that I have made for one of their teachers and teaching assistants. As you can see, they’re the same design apart from the ‘Best Teacher’ banner on the first card!

Supplies used: Memento ink – Lady Bug, Cottage Ivy and Tuxedo Black.  Lawn Fawn – Lets Polka in the Dark papers, Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die and Stripy Backdrop Die.  Spellbinders Circle and Banner Die, Clearly Besotted Banner Die and all stamps Clearly Besotted.  Kraft and white card.

Although I’m glad that the summer hols are here for the kids, this year there is a tinge of sadness as my daughter will leaving this school and will be going up to ‘big school’!  As this is a scheduled post that I’m writing a week in advance I can say that tomorrow and Thursday will be spent at her new school.  Everything is crossed that she likes it but I also know that it’s the start of another exciting chapter in her life.

That’s all from me for today,  I hope you have a great weekend – Karen 🙂

Craftwork Cards – Bohemian Dreams…

Craftwork Cards WheelHi there! Today I’m back with a card that I have made using another set from Craftwork Cards called Bohemian Dreams.  The colours are very rich and vibrant and the papers include lots of spots and checks which I love.  This card was made for my sister to give to her Mother-in-Law.  Everything that I have used here is from this collection apart from the bow which I made using a die by L’il Inker, the tag is from Spellbinders and the sentiment is a mix of Mama Elephants Mini Messages and a set from Clearly Besotted which they have now retired.

That’s all from me for this week.  I hope you have a crafty weekend! Take care – Karen 🙂
