“Wishing you a Very Happy Christmas”…

happy-holidays-penguin

Hello!  Well, we’re nearly there but are you actually ready yet?!  We have a few things to do and of course the BIG Christmas food shop but apart from that things are on track 🙂  The past week has been a bit up and down though as my son caught the dreaded sickness bug that’s doing the rounds.  As soon as he said ‘Orlaith was sick at school today’ I knew it was only a matter of time that he would succumb 😦  He’s getting back to his old self now so I’m keeping my finger’s crossed that my daughter doesn’t get it for Christmas!

Anyways, enough about yukky bugs, here’s the last card that I will be sharing this year!  This stamp set is called Winter Penguin from Lawn Fawn, I also used it’s corresponding die. Other items used were; Lawn Fawn Eveyday Sentiment Banner Die, Lawn Fawn Forest Border and Snowy Backdrop Die. Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Die, MFT Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die, MFT Watercolour Brights papers, Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka in the Dark papers, Spectrum Noirs and a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad.

Well, that’s all from me for today and indeed this year.  I just want to say thank you to everyone who has visited my blog over the past year and also for all the lovely, kind comments that you leave – they are so appreciated 🙂   I really hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful, happy and healthy New Year!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone!

happy-alpacas

Hi there!  I hope you’re well and enjoying this very special time of the year 🙂  Here is another quick post this week!  I thought I had blogged this card before but I have looked through previous posts and  I can’t find it – so here it is now! (If I have missed it and you have seen it before – I apologise!  Bear with me!). I have used Lawn Fawn’s Winter Alpaca stamps and dies here along with their Forest Border Die, Snowy Background Die and Let’s Bokeh papers.  I also used Spellbinders circle and banner dies, Spectrum Noirs and the star die is from Clearly Besotted. The sentiment is from another Lawn Fawn set – Winter Penguin.

Scalloped Christmas Treat Boxes…

scalloped-treat-box

Hi there!  The Big Day is fast approaching and I’m nowhere near finished with my preparations!  Never mind, I’m sure it will all come together soon!!!  Anyways, today it’s a quick share from me.  These are a couple of gift boxes I have made which will have money inside.  I love this Scalloped Treat Box Die from Lawn Fawn – it’s so easy to put together and they’re so much fun to decorate!  Apparently you can fit a gift card in one of these which is good to know, or you could just fill it with some mini treats!

I also used: Lawn Fawn – Perfectly Plaid Christmas papers,  Lawn Fawn Forest Border Die,  circle punch, twine, Memento inkpads – Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug and Summer Sky. Mama Elephant – Mini Messages stamps and dies, Mama Elephant – Lunar Animals stamps and dies, Avery Elle – Happy Howlidays stamps and Spectrum Noirs.

I hope your Christmas preparations are going well?  I’m feeling a lot more festive now that we have our decorations up 🙂

That’s all from me for this week.  Take care and enjoy the rest of your week – Karen 🙂

‘Thank You’ Kitty…

thank-you-kitty-2

Hi there from me on this the last day of November!  Where has this year gone? – too fast that’s all I know!  Today I’m sharing this card that I made for my Mum and Dad for looking after my cats while we were on holiday in October.  I’m lucky that they only live about 5 minutes away in the car so they get to cat-sit when we are away!

I have used an Anna Griffin kit here called ‘Fifi and Fido’ which I thought would be fitting for a card for this occasion! The papers on this card have glitter on them as does the 3D cat sticker – I’m not sure if it’s showing up well in this picture though. I have also used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies and a Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackable Die. The sentiment is by Altenew which I got free in a magazine a while ago, and the twine is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.  Take care – Karen 🙂

MFT – ‘Llama Love’

llama-love

Hello there!  I’m back this week with this card that I have made using My Favorite Things – Llama Love stamps and dies.  I’ve had these stamps for a couple of months now but I didn’t get the dies at the same time as I thought that they were pretty expensive.  Anyway, I fussy cut one llama out and it took me ages!  I’m just not good at this fussy cutting lark and I think that’s one of the reasons that I hadn’t yet made a card with them!  So on Friday I took the plunge and ordered the dies which came the next day which meant that I could make this card.  Actually, I have made 2 the same.  One will be for my brother from my sister, and the other is for my sister’s brother-in-law. It’s another punny card – they just make me smile 🙂

I also used: My Favorite Things – Free Spirit papers, Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die and Everyday Sentiment Banner Dies.  Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Dies, Spellbinder’s Circle Die, Epiphany Tool, Spectrum Noirs, Memento inkpads in Tuxedo Black and Espresso Truffle. Core-dinations cardstock and the ‘Brother’ sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps. Also, my WRMK Corner Chomper.

That’s all from me for today.  I hope you’re having a good week so far, and to all blogging pals across the pond – ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ for tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by, take care – Karen 🙂

altenew-anniversary-butterfly

Hi there!  I’m back from my week off with the kids feeling relaxed and rejuvenated – or do I mean shattered and in need of another holiday?!!  Well, all I do know is that we all had a great time at Center Parcs like we always do 🙂

Today I’m sharing this anniversary card that I made for my sister to give to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  Again I have used Altenew’s Painted Flowers and Painted Butterflies stamps and dies and also the Peony Bouquet stamp set.

Other supplies used: Black cardstock and Patterned papers by lawn Fawn – Let’s Polka in the Meadow.  Lawn Fawn’s Every day Sentiments Banner Die and sentiment stamp by Waltzingmouse Stamps – Frame It. Mama Elephant Park Avenue frame die and the following Tuxedo inkpads – Tuxedo Black and New Sprout. Red Sunset and Summer Afternoon inks from Altenew.

Bokeh Best Fishes…..

bokeh-birthday-fishes

Hello!  I’m back today with another card made using the fab ‘Fintastic Friends’ stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the bokeh background using ‘Let’s Bokeh’,  again by Lawn Fawn, and then didn’t know what to do with it!  I thought the circles looked like bubbles  and then that thought turned to fish and voila!  This is the outcome!

bokeh-birthday-wishes-2

Here’s what else I used: The following products from Lawn Fawn – Stitched Circle Die, Everyday Sentiment Banner Die, papers from ‘Beachside’. Memento inks in Summer Sky, Bahama Blue and Tuxedo Black.  Versa Magic in Cloud White and Encore! Ultimate Metallic in Gold. MFT Die-namics – Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die. I think the fish paper clip was from The Range and black cardstock from my stash.  Spectrum Noirs to colour.

Well that’s all from me for this week – another week closer to Christmas!  I scheduled this post last week so now I will be enjoying a week away with the family as it’s half term.  Hope you have a fun weekend whatever you’re doing, take care and thanks so much for stopping by today 🙂

Hi there, I hope you are well and enjoying your week so far.  It’s a speedy visit from me for this week.  Here is a card that I made using stamps and dies from Waltzingmouse Stamps (no longer trading,  but some of Claire Brennan’s designs are available through Gina K Designs).

I also used Memento inkpads in Bamboo Leaves and Espresso Truffle. Versa Magic Dewdrop in Red Brick. The red spot card is from Craftwork Cards, the Kraft base card is a 6×6 card blank that I have embossed with an X Cut Snowflake embossing folder.  I also used the MFT Die-namics Inside and Outside Diagnol Stitched Square Die.

I have just looked on the Gina K Designs blog and guess what is being released on the 13th of October??!!  That’s so spooky, I honestly didn’t know  before I started writing this post!  Check it out HERE!
