Easter – ‘It’s a Wrap!’

Hello there!  Today I’m sharing some cute little Easter treat bags and boxes with you – am I prepared or what?!!!  I have made multiples of some of these designs for my son’s teacher and teaching assistants.

I really like the sweet tote above and the scalloped treat box above that – it’s quite surprising what goodies you can fit in them!

Supplies: Gingham cardstock from Create and Craft, Mama Elephant Treat Topper Die, WRMK Candy Box Punch Board, Reverse Confetti Tagged Tote Die and a box die that I got from ebay.  Also, the following products from Lawn Fawn – ‘Happy Easter’ stamps and dies, Scalloped Treat Box Die, Tiny Tags die, Stitched Circle Tag die, Large Cross Stitched Circle Stackables, Stitched Circle Die, ‘Make me Smile’ die, Grass Border die,  Pink Lemonade Twine and Merman and Guava inkpads. I also used Spectrum Noirs, a Gelly Roll pen and the small L’il Inker sun die.

Well, that’s all from me for today – and the foreseeable future.  My blog has come up for renewal and I have decided that after 2 years,  and after thinking about it for several months – not to carry on with it.  There are a few reasons really.  Time constraints are one of those reasons but to be honest my heart hasn’t been in it lately.  I also have a couple of health issues that are being investigated at the moment – hopefully nothing serious but I think it would be a good time to finish now while everything is sorted out.  I have kept my domain name so who knows I may have a change of heart after some time away and come back to my little blog space!  I have ‘met’ some amazingly talented people in blogland and also some extremely kind people who visit my blog and leave such lovely comments.  I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to you all!  Your support and encouragement have meant more to me than I can say 🙂  However – you won’t be getting rid of me altogether as I’ll still be following you and your wonderful blogs!

So, thank you for joining me in sharing my last blog post today. Take care – Karen 🙂

  2. Thank you so much, you’re very kind 🙂 It’s funny really, I mentioned something to my doctor as a bit of an after thought, who then sent me off for a full set of blood tests and 2 other things flagged up – completely different from what I was at the docs for in the first place! I’m sure everything will be fine but thanks again for your kind words and for visiting me here at my little blog! 🙂

  3. Your Easter projects are absolutely adorable, Karen!! I’ve always enjoyed seeing your projects with the fun Lawn Fawn products!! And, was very sad to hear about you taking a break from your blog. I hope and pray that your health issues aren’t serious. Take care and hope to see you around in blog land!!

  4. I saw this earlier but didn’t have time to comment. Firstly, and most importantly, I hope your health issues are nothing serious and you are fighting fit again soon. Secondly, super little Easter packages. I love beautifully presented treats and I expect the recipients of these will feel exactly the same! Thirdly, I am truly sorry that you are going to stop blogging. I know you mentioned you were thinking about it but I kind of hoped you would change your mind. But of course you need to focus on other things right now. I hope you come back, I will miss your lovely cards, and I will miss you. I really am one of your biggest fans!! And if you do start posting again, make sure you give me a prod so I know!! Take care and all the best. Gill Xxx

  5. Thank you so much Gill – reading that has made my eyes a little bit leaky! You have always left me such lovely, kind comments and I have appreciated them so much – especially coming from such a talented crafter like yourself 🙂 I’m sure I’ll get sorted out pretty soon and I bet it’ll be a fuss over nothing in the end! I said a few months ago that I was thinking about finishing so with my renewal coming up and all the other stuff going on it’s the right time. Anyway, I might have a break and come back in while – I’ll see 🙂 By the way, I’ll still be visiting you at your fab blog Gill. Your projects are always inspirational and I just love your humour – you always make me smile/laugh! So, I’ll ‘see’ you soon – take care from one of your biggest fans! 🙂 xx

  7. Hi Karen. Don’t know if you still follow up comments on here, but just wanted to let you know I appreciate your comments. Did you stop crafting entirely or just publishing your work? I hope you’re doing well.

  8. Hi Pia! Thank you for your comment and for asking how I am 🙂 I am still crafting, just having a break from blogging at the moment. I’m not sure whether I will go back to blogging but I don’t think I could ever give up crafting! Health wise I am feeling a lot better thank you and am back to my ‘old self’! Once again, thank you for asking 🙂
