Grandma Griffin…

Grandma Griffin

Happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a lovely weekend 🙂  I’m back today with a card that I made for my Mum from my kids as it was her and my Dad’s birthday last Friday – Friday the 13th!!!  This was made using an old Kanban kit called The Griffins which are rather cute looking dragons (not that I’m saying my Mum’s a dragon of course!)

May is a busy month for birthdays and what with the one’s that I need to give myself and the one’s that are commissioned, I must have made around the 35 mark!  I have a birthday book so that I can work in advance and thought that I had June free – not so as I had forgotten  Father’s Day! I was hoping to get ahead for July’s birthday’s as that is another busy month. Sometimes coming up with card ideas can be challenging for me –  especially when there have been times when I have had to make 8 cards or so for the same person’s birthday!  Anyways, I’m pleased to say my Mum and Dad had a lovely day 🙂

For this card I also used Craftwork Cards Card Candi, twine, Spellbinders tag die and the sentiment was created on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’ll be back on Thursday with the card that I made for my Dad from my kids.  Enjoy the rest of your week, take care – Karen 🙂

  1. It’s really cute! I know what you mean about making multiple cards for the same person, but really I think we worry too much. I bet yours are all happily received!

  2. This is so fun, Karen. I love that your colors go so beautifully with the papers. You have such a wonderful creative eye. Such a fun image, too!

  3. This must be the cutest dragon around! Love the spools she’s got in her hair and her mild facial expression. I’m guessing her heart melted receiving this.
