Hello there – how’s your Tuesday going? I’ve got a bit of time before going out with the kiddo’s so I thought I would share these 2 cards that I have made using my new Spectrum Aqua Markers from Crafters Companion. I have been dabbling a bit with water colour pencils lately and was doing a bit of research about these pens -watching YouTube video’s etc and I really liked what I saw. However, because of the price of the whole set and the cost of the storage I thought this was something to go on my wish list! Well, I didn’t have to wait long because I bought them!! This was only because they were HALF PRICE for the whole kit and caboodle – all 4 packs of pens, the storage and a instructional dvd rom on Create and Craft a few weeks ago! It was their weekender deal – that actually lasted an hour I think! Hubby said it was a great deal so that was enough of a green light for me to get them! I know I would have kicked myself if I hadn’t!
So, the first attempt was when I used them with this lovely Hyacinth stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I liked the end result enough to use it for a card! I also used patterned paper from ‘Fairyopolis’ – Crafter’s Companion, AC cardstock, Centura Pearl cardstock, Water colour card, Tattered Lace Butterfly Embossing Folder and Lattice Folder, all dies are Spellbinders apart from the background flourish by Anna Griffin.
The next card was made using a Gorjuss Girls stamp. I also used ‘Sunny Side’ papers from Pebbles, Sentiment stamp (and also on Hyacinth card) are from Craftwork Cards, banner and label dies are Spellbinders, scalloped border die is from Sizzix and the bow is from Frantic Stamper. I also used a little epoxy sticker for the centre of the bow.
Well that’s it from me today, 2 very different cards. Really like my new pens so looking forward to having a bit more of a play soon!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a good rest of the week! Take care – Karen 🙂
Wow! Such pretty coloring on your beautiful cards, Karen! I can see you had fun with your new Spectrum Markers! First card is just lovely with the hyacinth image and butterfly! And, second card is too sweet with the little girl image holding the umbrella. Wonderful mix of patterned papers, too! Take care and have an awesome week!:-)
