Hello crafty people! I hope you’re enjoying the weekend? The weather here is pretty miserable at the moment – rain and wind so the perfect time to get crafty!
A week or so ago I bought some water brushes thinking it might make water colouring easier for me, so I had a little practise with this stamp designed by Sam Poole for Creative Expressions. I really liked using the water brushes as opposed to the regular brush I used – just need to practise more now! I was intending to get some Ultra Thick Embossing powder out and stamp into that with the circular acorn stamp. Because these stamps are grey rubber it does make them more versatile. However, I just didn’t have the time for that, so stamped it then got the ol’ Glossy Accents on it! I popped some foliage behind that courtesy of some Spellbinders dies and there you have it!
What I used: ‘Bear Hugs’ by Sam Poole for Creative Expressions, Spellbinders foliage dies, Spellbinders circle die, Kaisercraft rectangle die, Cloud die – can’t remember where this was from!, watercolour pencils, Fancy Pants ‘True Friend’ paper pad and Glossy Accents.
While I’m here I thought I’d share a few things that Hubby treated me to yesterday when we just ‘popped’ in Hobbycraft! If you like Craft Asylum goodies then you might want to get yourself down there – or on their website, because at the moment they are half price! I really wasn’t intending on getting any more papercraft stuff for a while (honest!) – but what can you do when presented with such a deal?!! I haven’t used any of their products before but I love the papers and because of the size of the stamps these will be great for my pocket letters – more on that in the future! I’m not sure if the deal is on all their lines at the minute but there was a lot of choice there yesterday. I picked a matching set of stamps and paper pad called ‘Into the Woods’. The other sets weren’t ‘matching’ as such but they will all work together really well. So here they are!
That’s all from me for this week, thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week ahead, take care – Karen 🙂
